A perfume bottle on a tray stops being a product. It becomes a small monument to the way you want to start the day.
Line them up. Light them softly.
The mistake with perfume is hiding it in the cupboard. Bottles are sculptural — amber glass, frosted facets, weighty caps. Give them a tray and a strip of morning light, and the dresser becomes a small altar.
- Choose dark wood — walnut, ebonised oak. The bottles read brighter against it.
- Line bottles by height, tallest behind. A small linear ritual.
- Keep one tray per category. Perfume on this one. Jewellery on the other. Never mix.
- Leave a third of the surface empty. The wood is meant to be seen.
